Going from a 12.00 inch to a 12.88 inch rotor adds brake leverage and cooling capacity, and separating the parking brake into a dedicated MC4 caliper removes the compromise built into the factory combination caliper.

The C4 Corvette factory rear combination caliper has to serve as both a service brake and a parking brake, and it is a known weak point on a car being driven hard. Splitting those jobs between a four-piston Superlite service caliper and a dedicated MC4 mechanical caliper is what makes this conversion worth the work.
