Terms of service

This policy covers the legal terms under which Core Brake Parts operates the website, accepts orders, sells parts, and limits liability; the customer's responsibility to verify fitment and to install parts in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable safety standards; intellectual property ownership of site content and product imagery; the governing-law and dispute-resolution framework; and the conditions under which we may refuse or cancel an order.

Key points the owner should confirm with their attorney or accept from the Shopify-generated baseline:

  • Acceptance of terms by use of the site
  • Account creation, accuracy of information, and account-security responsibility
  • Order acceptance is not guaranteed at the time of submission — Core Brake Parts reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order (suspected fraud, pricing errors, supply issues, geographic restrictions)
  • Pricing errors and the right to correct them prior to fulfillment
  • MAP-pricing posture (we do not undercut manufacturer minimum advertised price on brands where MAP applies)
  • Customer responsibility to verify fitment before installation, and to follow manufacturer torque specs and brake-bedding procedures
  • Limitation of liability for installation errors, vehicle damage, personal injury, or consequential damages — brake parts are safety-critical, professional installation recommended
  • Warranty disclaimer beyond the manufacturer's stated warranty
  • Intellectual property ownership of site content, product copy, and photography
  • Acceptable-use restrictions (no scraping, no automated ordering without prior arrangement)
  • Governing law, jurisdiction, and forum (state to be confirmed based on entity formation)
  • Dispute resolution — arbitration clause and class-action waiver if elected
  • Modifications to the terms, and how customers are notified of changes
  • Termination conditions for accounts that violate the terms
  • B2B-specific terms (resale certificate requirements, net-terms credit, defective-on-install handling)

Shopify auto-generates a baseline of this policy at install time. Replace this file with the Shopify-generated text after store provisioning, then edit for brake-specific specifics (60-day return window on uninstalled parts, ship cutoff times, core-charge handling, etc.).
