Brake Parts FAQ

Shipping

When do orders ship? In-stock parts ordered before 2:00 PM Eastern, Monday–Friday ship the same business day from our warehouse in Circleville, OH. Orders placed after the cutoff ship the next business day. Dropship items (clearly flagged on the product page) ship within 1 to 2 business days direct from the distributor.

Do you offer free shipping? Yes. Orders over $99 ship free to the lower 48 states. Under $99, standard ground rates apply at checkout.

Do you ship outside the United States? At launch we ship to the 50 US states only. International expansion is on the roadmap but not live yet.

Returns and warranty

What is your return policy? 30 days on uninstalled parts in original, unopened packaging. Send it back the way it shipped, with the packing slip, and we issue a refund to the original payment method once it lands and passes inspection.

Can I return brake pads after opening them? Brake pads must be unused and in original packaging to qualify for return. Once friction material has touched a rotor — even one stop in a driveway — the pad is contaminated and we cannot resell it. This is a safety policy, not a paperwork policy. Order with verified fitment from the start.

What about warranty claims? Every part we sell carries the manufacturer's warranty. If a part fails inside the warranty window, contact us with the order number and a description of the failure. We file the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf and coordinate the replacement or credit. You do not chase the brand yourself.

Fitment

How do I know a part fits my vehicle? Every product page shows a verified Year/Make/Model fitment. On vehicles with multiple drivetrain or trim splits — F-150 with versus without the heavy-duty package, Silverado 1500 versus 2500, Tahoe police versus civilian — the listing calls out the split. If you order a part we listed as fitting your vehicle and it does not fit, we cover return shipping and either swap it for the correct part or refund in full.

Brands

Which brands do you carry, and why those? At launch: Akebono, Bosch, Wagner, ACDelco, Motorcraft, Cardone, Dorman, and Motul. Each one earned its slot. Akebono is the daily-driver ceramic standard. Bosch and Wagner cover OE-replacement breadth across domestic and import. ACDelco and Motorcraft carry the GM and Ford factory lines for owners who want the original spec. Cardone and Dorman handle reman calipers and hard parts most catalogs skip. Motul is fluid that does not boil under load. We add brands as we earn the distributor relationships, not before.

Reman calipers and core charges

What is a core charge? When you buy a remanufactured caliper, the price includes a refundable core deposit, typically between [core-charge-low] and [core-charge-high] per caliper depending on the application. The new (rebuilt) caliper ships with a prepaid return label and instructions. Send your old caliper back in the box the new one arrived in, and the core deposit refunds to your original payment method once we receive and inspect it. Cores must be the matching part and in rebuildable condition.

Brake fluid

Can I mix DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluid? DOT 3 and DOT 4 are both glycol-based and are generally interchangeable in a top-off. DOT 4 has a higher boiling point, so going from DOT 3 to DOT 4 is fine. Mixing back down dilutes the higher rating. DOT 5 is silicone-based and must never be mixed with DOT 3, 4, or 5.1 — they are chemically incompatible and the mix will damage seals and cause pedal failure. Check your owner's manual for the spec your vehicle requires.

Fleet and shop pricing

Do you offer pricing for shops or fleets? Yes. If you run a repair shop, brake specialty shop, or operate a vehicle fleet, contact us with your business name, resale certificate, and the volume you anticipate. We respond within 1 business day. Severe-duty applications, fleet-standard pad and rotor SKUs, and recurring-order setups are handled directly.

Do you have wholesale accounts? A B2B account program is being set up. For now, the path is the same: contact us through the form on this site and mention "shop" or "fleet" in the comment. We get you set up manually until the self-service portal is live.

Payment and security

What payment methods do you accept? All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Checkout runs on Shopify's PCI-DSS compliant payment infrastructure. We do not see or store your full card number.
