Wilwood offers the D154 as a direct bolt-on, lighter, stronger, extreme-duty alternative to the OE cast iron D154 calipers. GM used that caliper style on many disc brake mid-size cars and small trucks beginning in 1978, and on some models as late as 2002. Its wide availability and pad selection also made it popular in restricted-class racing and in drum-to-disc conversions on hot rods and street machines.
