Brake pads are a wear item, so inspect the rotor faces and the caliper slide hardware while the wheel is off and replace anything scored or seized. Bed the new pads in with a series of moderate stops from moderate speed before driving them hard, and expect the pedal to feel different for the first few miles while the friction material transfers an even layer onto the rotor. Replace pads in axle sets so braking stays balanced side to side.
