HPS 5.0 is Hawk's strongest street compound in the High Performance Street family, built for heavy, high-power cars that ask a lot of the front axle. It pushes the limits of ABS with shorter stopping distances than the original pads while keeping noise low and rotor wear in check, which matters on a car that sees both daily driving and the occasional track day.

Pedal feel is the other gain: HPS 5.0 gives a firmer, more linear response than the original pad, so it is easier to judge how much brake you are actually asking for. Fade stays minimal as temperatures climb, and the compound is deliberately gentle on rotors, so a set of GT500 discs is not consumed in the process.
