Track notes

This is a competition pad, not a commuter pad. It wants heat, it makes noise, and it dusts. For autocross and track days on a light front-drive chassis it gives strong, repeatable torque once warm.

Choosing a compound

Hawk builds three Dynamic Torque Control grades. DTC-30 comes up soonest and stays predictable, DTC-60 sits in the middle with more peak torque and heat capacity, and DTC-70 is the most aggressive. All three are competition friction materials and will wear rotors faster and run louder than a factory replacement pad, which is the trade for consistent stopping power once the brakes are hot.
