The fine slot pattern keeps pad wear flat and parallel and avoids the record grooving common with unslotted discs, while resisting the cracking that can affect cross drilled discs. Pair them with a matching high friction pad set for the full benefit.

USR is EBC's quiet slotted option. The slots are narrower than a wide aperture sport rotor, so they still sweep gas, dust and debris out of the pad contact area and keep the friction surface clean, but they generate far less air noise at speed. On a light, stiff car that is driven hard, that combination of consistent bite and low noise is usually the reason owners move away from a plain face rotor. Every disc is machined and quality controlled to tight runout limits before it leaves the factory.
