Slotted rotors keep pad wear flat and parallel over the life of the set, avoiding the record-groove wear common with plain discs and improving pad contact throughout.

Brake components should always be replaced in complete axle sets, left and right together, and bedded in following the manufacturer's instructions before any hard driving. With the wheels off it is worth checking the caliper slide pins, mounting hardware and flexible hoses at the same time.
