Bed-in can take up to 1000 miles as the pad takes the shape of your rotor face. The light dust it does leave washes off with a sponge because the compound carries no steel fibre.

Brake pads are a wear item and should always be replaced as a complete axle set. Inspect the rotor faces and caliper slide hardware at the same time, and bed the new pads in using EBC's published bedding procedure before any hard driving.
