EBC Racing SG2 two-piece floating rear brake rotors, a complete assembly built as an OE replacement for the 2021 and newer BMW M3 and M4 in G80, G82 and G87 chassis.

How the floating design works

The cast iron outer ring floats on EBC's patented SD-Drive bobbins, allowing the friction ring to expand and contract by up to 3mm as heat builds during hard braking. Stainless bobbins resist corrosion so the ring keeps floating freely after years of road exposure, and the anti-rattle clips keep the assembly quiet off the brake. When the friction ring wears out, the ring alone can be replaced and the center bell and bobbins re-used.
