These are EBC Racing SG two-piece floating front brake rotors for the 2011-2019 BMW M5 and M6 with the 4.4L engine, covering the F10, F12, F13 and F06 chassis. They are supplied as a complete assembly and are a direct replacement for the original equipment front discs.

Why floating rings

Letting the cast iron ring move relative to the bell means the disc can grow and shrink freely with heat instead of fighting the hat. The stainless bobbins resist corrosion so the float is still there years later, and the spring clips remove the off-brake rattle that plagues many full race two-piece setups. The lower rotational unsprung mass sharpens turn-in and improves tire road holding.
