EBC GD1977 is a 3GD Series GD Sport slotted rear brake rotor set for the 2017 and newer Volkswagen Golf Mk7 1.8L Turbo.

The 3GD pattern uses reduced three-slot wide venting to sweep dirt, dust and debris out of the braking zone and let heat escape, which keeps the pad face flat and parallel instead of grooving. Castings are OE-spec grey cast iron and are checked for grain structure, hardness, tensile strength and runout before shipping, so the set installs and runs smooth.
