Extra Duty is EBC's carbon granule based truck and SUV compound, made in the UK from aramid with a small amount of steel fiber. It produces unusually high friction while still behaving on the street, with strong brake effect from the very first cold application. The race-derived material stays effective at temperatures beyond 1400 degrees F, well past anything a loaded trailer or a long downhill descent will generate. It is rotor friendly, quiet, and low on dust, and every set ships with NUCAP piston insert shims.
