The BSD V pattern spreads heat better than an OE style face and helps the pads run cooler on average, with a slot layout chosen specifically to stay quiet. The Geomet coated silver hub matches OE hubs if you are only changing one axle.

Brake components should always be replaced in complete axle sets, left and right together, and bedded in following the manufacturer's instructions before any hard driving. With the wheels off it is worth checking the caliper slide pins, mounting hardware and flexible hoses at the same time.
