The V pattern improves heat dispersion and helps the pads run cooler on average than an original-equipment style rotor, while the slot geometry is designed to stay quiet under braking. EBC moved from the Gen 2 black hub to the current Gen 3 silver Geomet hub, which matches the look of factory silver hubs if only one axle is being changed.
