The V slot pattern improves heat dispersion and helps the pads run cooler than an OE style face, while the silent slot layout keeps noise down. The Geomet coated silver hub matches OE hubs when only one axle is being changed.

Brake components should always be replaced in complete axle sets, left and right together, and bedded in following the manufacturer's instructions before any hard driving. With the wheels off it is worth checking the caliper slide pins, mounting hardware and flexible hoses at the same time.
