Bluestuff NDX is a high friction sport and race material suited to aggressive street driving and many kinds of track use. Its calling cards are bite from cold, progressive pedal feel, and a long wear life compared with Yellowstuff.

The compound is easy on rotors, leaving surfaces smooth rather than scored, and has low heat transfer with a clean release. Pads require careful bedding in before track use, so follow EBC's bedding guidance.

Replace brake pads as a complete axle set so both sides bite evenly, and inspect the rotor faces, caliper slide pins, and retaining hardware while the calipers are open. Anything worn, scored, or seized should be replaced at the same time, because a sticking slide pin will chew through a new set of pads long before it should.

New friction material needs a proper bed-in cycle to lay an even transfer layer on the rotor. That transfer layer is what gives a quiet brake and a firm, repeatable pedal, and skipping it is the usual reason a fresh set of pads judders or squeals. Check pad thickness at every tire rotation and replace the set before the friction material reaches the backing plate.
