The 5000 Series is DBA's two-piece design, pairing a cast iron friction ring with a separate hat. Because the ring can grow and contract on its own as heat cycles through it, the rotor stays flatter under repeated hard braking than a comparable one-piece casting, and total rotating weight drops. The T3 slots break up the glaze that builds on a hot pad, sweep dust and gas out of the contact patch, and give a clear visual wear reference.

Because rotors work as a pair, plan on replacing the matching left-side rotor at the same time so pad wear and braking force stay even across the axle.
