The XS Gold coating is applied to the non-friction surfaces to hold off surface rust on a rotor that spends its life behind an open wheel. The drilled and slotted uni-directional face is cut to sweep gas and dust out from under the pad, which keeps the friction surface clean and the bite consistent as temperatures climb. Because the pattern is directional, the rotors are side-specific: check the vane direction against the correct side of the vehicle at installation.
