This CarQuest WearEver brake caliper guide pin kit restores smooth caliper float and even pad wear.

Caliper guide pins let the floating caliper slide as the pads wear so both pad faces stay in contact with the rotor. When the pins seize from moisture, salt, or old grease, one pad wears much faster than the other and the vehicle can pull under braking. Fresh guide pins with silicone-friendly boots restore even pad wear and quiet, straight braking. The manufacturer part number covers a broad range of makes, models, and model years - which is common for hardware kits, hydraulic components, and service items where the same physical piece is used across many platforms. The correct way to confirm this fits your vehicle is to match the manufacturer part number against your service manual, the OE parts diagram, or the part you are replacing. If your service manual cross-references this manufacturer PN, or if the piece you are removing carries this number physically stamped or labeled, you are looking at the correct replacement.

If you would like us to verify fitment against your VIN or vehicle configuration before you buy, contact us with the year, make, model, submodel, and trim of your vehicle and we will confirm the cross-reference against the manufacturer catalog.

Cross-Reference

Manufacturer part number 14150. This is a CarQuest / WearEver catalog part. Confirm the OE reference for your vehicle matches before installing.

Why You Might Need This

Seized or corroded guide pins let one caliper piston work while the other stays stuck, showing up as pulling to one side under braking, uneven pad wear from one side to the other, or a warm rotor after a short drive. This is a maintenance service on any 100k+ mile vehicle.

Installation Notes

Clean the caliper bracket bore with a bore brush before inserting the new pins. Use silicone-friendly brake grease on the pin body (not on the boot) and confirm the pin slides freely by hand. A pin that binds during install will bind in service - stop and re-clean before proceeding.

Shipping and Returns

Free shipping on orders over $75. Same-day shipping on in-stock parts ordered before 2:00 PM CT weekdays. Orders placed after the same-day cutoff ship the next business day. Every order ships from our climate-controlled warehouse; parts do not sit outside where humidity and temperature swings could damage packaging.

30-day return window on unopened, unused parts in original packaging. Open parts installed without verified fitment: no return, or up to a 40 percent restocking fee depending on condition. Brake friction material (pads and shoes) is safety-critical and cannot be returned once a pad has touched a rotor. If a part does not fit your vehicle as described, we cover the return shipping and make it right.
