Covers GMT900 (2007-2013) and K2XX (2014-2018) platforms — Silverado 1500 front caliper spec carried across the platform change. Full brake parts collection for GMC Sierra 1500 (same caliper) and matching front pads / rotors.
Why All-New Over Remanufactured
- No unknown history — every caliper starts life fresh, not a used-caliper core with new soft parts
- No core charge — no $30-70 caliper-return step, no risk of losing the deposit
- Geomet coating — corrosion protection above what most reman houses apply
- EPDM soft parts — the newest generation of dust boot and seal material, longer service life than typical EPDM
- Right choice for restoration, high-mileage, or coastal / salt-belt vehicles — where corrosion is a real concern
Install Notes
- Torque caliper bracket bolts per GM Silverado service spec (typically 129 ft-lb bracket, 24 ft-lb slider)
- Silicone caliper grease on slider pins — not chassis grease
- Bench-bleed each caliper before install if pistons feel dry
- Never re-use the old brake hose if pedal feels spongy — internal rubber delaminates after 10+ years
- Replace pads and consider new rotors in the same job for best pedal feel
- Bleed the wheel farthest from the master cylinder first (typically passenger rear)
