The HPS compound offers a higher coefficient of friction than a stock pad and can deliver 20 to 40 percent more stopping power along with higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means better pedal feel and more consistent performance, and the compound is formulated to generate less brake dust than a typical performance pad, so wheels stay cleaner between washes.

Because HPS produces high friction and torque both hot and cold, the first stop of the morning feels the same as the tenth stop on a fast back road. That consistency, plus extended pad life, is why HPS is the usual step up for a Corvette that is driven hard on the street and still has to behave in traffic.
