The Hawk Performance HB183F.585 is a direct-fit HPS brake pad set for the 1994-2004 Ford Mustang. HPS is Hawk's High Performance Street friction material. Pads are a bolt-in job on a stock caliper and no other brake components need to change. Bed them in properly on installation so the friction material transfers evenly to the rotor face and the pedal comes up firm. Inspect the rotors while the caliper is apart and replace or resurface them if they are scored, cracked, or below minimum thickness, since a fresh pad on a worn rotor will never give its best bite or wear life. Replace pads as a complete axle set, left and right together.
