Installation

Install the set against clean, true rotors with the caliper slide pins and pad abutments serviced, then bed the pads in with a series of progressively firmer stops from moderate speed before any hard driving. Bedding transfers an even layer of friction material to the disc face, which is what gives a new set its full bite and keeps it quiet. Skipping that step is the most common cause of noise or pedal pulsation on a fresh pad change.
