DTC-60 is a competition compound and needs heat before it delivers full bite. Bed the pads in before your first hard session and expect more dust and noise than the factory pad.

Choosing a compound

Hawk builds three Dynamic Torque Control grades. DTC-30 comes up soonest and stays predictable, DTC-60 sits in the middle with more peak torque and heat capacity, and DTC-70 is the most aggressive. All three are competition friction materials and will wear rotors faster and run louder than a factory replacement pad, which is the trade for consistent stopping power once the brakes are hot.
