Because it is a competition compound, it needs heat to reach full friction and is not intended as a quiet daily-driver pad.

Bed the pads in per the manufacturer's instructions before hard use. It is worth checking rotor surface condition and remaining rotor thickness at the same time, since fresh friction works best against a clean, true surface, and worn or heavily grooved rotors will shorten the life of a new set.
