DTC-30 is the lower-torque end of Hawk's Dynamic Torque Control race range. The wide temperature window and progressive bite make it a frequent rear-axle choice on heavy, high-power cars, where too much rear torque upsets the car under braking. Pair it with a higher-torque front compound to shift bias forward.

Because the temperature window is broad, the pad is already doing useful work on an out lap instead of waiting to be fully heat-soaked, which is one reason it shows up on cars that see both street driving to the event and hard track sessions once there. It is still a race compound, so expect race-pad dust and noise rather than OE quietness.
