Blue 9012 is a long-running Hawk race friction material for applications that never build extreme heat. Torque is low to intermediate and the usable window sits lower than the Dynamic Torque Control grades, so it is easier to live with on shorter sessions and lighter cars. It is still a competition pad: it wears rotors faster and runs louder than a factory replacement pad.
