Fitment

Fits 2001-2006 BMW M3 (E46) with the 345mm front rotor. E46 M3s built with the smaller front disc need a different part, and non-M E46 models are not covered. Measure your current front rotor diameter and confirm fitment by year, trim, and brake package before ordering.

Why slotted rotors

Slots break up the layer of gas and pad debris that builds between the friction surface and the pad under hard use, so the pad face stays clean and the bite stays consistent through repeated heavy stops. They also give a simple visual wear check: once the slot edges begin to fade away, the disc is near the end of its service life.

Installation notes

Replace rotors as an axle pair and fit fresh pads at the same time so both sides wear evenly. Bed the new brakes in with a series of progressively firmer stops from moderate speed before any hard or track driving, and re-check the wheel fasteners after the first drive.
