Why slotted rotors

Slotted discs maintain flat and parallel pad wear and avoid the record grooves and galling common with plain rotors, which keeps pad contact consistent through the life of the rotor and pad set. The fine slots clear gas, dust and debris from the pad face for reduced fade at speed, and the design resists the cracking that can affect through-drilled discs under repeated hard use.
