The narrow USR slots give most of the benefit of a slotted disc without the whistle of a wide-aperture design, so this is the quieter of the two EBC sport rotor choices. Slots keep pad wear flat and parallel and avoid the record grooves and galling common with plain discs, so pad contact stays consistent through the life of the set. Pairing them with a higher friction pad set gives the largest gain.
