About USR Series discs

EBC's Ultimax USR discs are machined in the UK from high quality grey iron and finished with fine slots rather than through-drilling. The narrow slot pattern is deliberately quiet at speed while still sweeping gas and debris off the pad face. Because the slots wipe the pad evenly, the friction surface stays flat and parallel instead of developing the record grooves that build up on plain discs, which keeps pad contact consistent over the life of the set. Skipping the cross-drilling also removes the stress risers that make drilled discs prone to cracking.
