Redstuff is a synthetic aramid fiber compound enhanced with ceramic particles. Nominal friction coefficient is 0.5 with roughly 50 percent less dust than a semi-metallic pad, and the dust that does appear washes off with a sponge because the compound contains no steel fiber. It bites hard from cold and gets stronger as it warms. Most Redstuff pads are approved to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation. Bed-in can take up to 1000 miles. Redstuff is a fast street compound and is not intended for track use.
