These are EBC Racing RP-X front brake pads for the 2014 and newer Audi S3 with the 2.0L turbo engine. RP-X is a dedicated track and race compound for cars driven hard on circuit and for full race builds.

RP-X carries roughly 25 percent more friction than EBC's RP-1 compound across its working range, with a much more positive initial bite. That makes it a strong choice on heavy or under-servoed cars. On lighter vehicles, cars running non-EBC big brake kits, or cars without ABS, the gentler RP-1 may suit better.

EBC notes that RP-X is developed for peak on-track performance, so expect higher brake dust and more noise than a street pad, and greater disc wear than RP-1.
