Redstuff is a synthetic fiber compound enhanced with ceramic particles, with a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5 and roughly 50 percent less dust than a semi-metallic pad. It brakes strongly from cold, runs quiet, and is gentle on rotors. The EBC Brake-In surface coating conditions the rotor face and speeds up seating, though full bed-in on this hard wearing compound can take up to 1000 miles of patient driving. Most EBC Red ceramic pads are approved to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation. Redstuff is a fast road compound and is not intended for track use.
