A conversion, not just a replacement

This assembly converts a one-piece front disc to EBC's two-piece floating design. The cast iron ring floats on patented SD-Drive bobbins and can move up to 3mm as it heats, so the friction face stays flat under repeated hard stops instead of distorting. Stainless bobbins keep the float working after years of weather, and anti-rattle clips keep the disc silent off the brake. Losing unsprung rotational mass sharpens turn-in and helps the tire stay planted. When the ring wears out, replace the ring alone and re-use the bell and bobbins.
