The swept groove pattern runs the length of the braking face to keep the pad surface clean and de-gassed, which is what keeps a heavy SRT-8 pulling down straight instead of glazing over after repeated hard stops. Because these rear discs share the SG groove profile used on EBC's fully-floating two-piece front discs, they let you run the same friction behavior at both ends of the vehicle.
