Because RP-X is developed for peak on-track performance, expect higher brake dust and higher noise levels than a street compound. Disc wear is comparable to other popular track and race materials but considerably greater than EBC RP-1. The aggressive character suits heavy or inherently under-servoed vehicles; light to medium weight cars, cars fitted with non-EBC big brake kits, and vehicles without ABS may be better served by the milder RP-1.
