RP-1 has good pad life and exceptionally low disc wear, lower than virtually every competitor race material EBC has tested. Pedal feel is progressive with strong modulation, without the snatchy feel and high noise common to race pads.

For heavy or inherently under-servoed vehicles that suit a very aggressive pad, EBC Racing's RP-X material may be the better choice. RP-1 is made entirely at the EBC Brakes facility in Bristol, UK.
