EBC rotors are cast from OE-spec grey iron and precision machined, with extensive element analysis, hardness and run-out testing behind each set. Slotting the face keeps pad contact flat and parallel through the life of the disc instead of cutting the record-groove pattern a plain face leaves behind, which holds braking consistent as the pads wear down.
