The BSD V slot pattern is laid out to move heat off the disc face and let the pads run cooler than they do on an OE style rotor, without the air noise that wide slots and drilled holes generate. High carbon iron keeps the disc thermally stable under repeated hard stops, which is what a heavy SRT8 asks of a rear rotor.

This is the current generation with the silver Geomet coated hub. The silver finish matches the OE hub appearance, so changing only one axle does not leave a visible mismatch behind the wheel. The result is a rear rotor that adds both performance and a cleaner look.
