XP650 is DBA's high-load street and towing compound. It is built for the case where an ordinary pad runs out of headroom: a heavy vehicle, a loaded trailer, a long grade taken at speed. Friction on a street pad falls away once the material gets hotter than it was designed for, and the pedal goes long exactly when the driver needs it most. A high-load compound holds its bite further up the temperature range instead.

The trade is that a harder compound wants heat in it to work at its best, so expect a firmer first stop on a cold morning than a soft ceramic pad would give. Fit pads as a complete axle set, never one side, and bed them in before hard use so the transfer layer builds evenly across both rotor faces. Inspect the rotors at the same time: pairing new pads with a scored or unevenly worn rotor leaves a patchy deposit that shows up later as a pulsation through the pedal.
