The DBA 52165BLKS is a rear 5000 Series T3 slotted brake rotor for the 2015 and newer Ford Mustang with the 2.3L or 5.0L engine, a two-piece design with a black aluminum hat.

Moving the hat from iron to aluminum cuts unsprung weight, and the iron ring can expand evenly under heat while less heat travels into the hub. DBA recommends the 5000 Series for high performance street cars, track days, club racing and rally. Replacement flat discs (rings) are available from DBA separately, so the hat can be reused when the ring wears out.
