This is a DBA 5000 Series XS two-piece front brake rotor for the 2004-2007 Subaru WRX STI and the 2017 Subaru BRZ with the Performance Package, using the 10-hole hat pattern. The cross drilled and slotted friction ring is assembled to a separate gold hat.

Drilled and slotted together

The drilled holes and the uni-directional slots both work to vent gas and sweep pad debris off the disc face, so the pad meets clean iron on every stop. Splitting the rotor into a friction ring and a separate hat cuts rotating mass and lets the disc expand under heat without distorting the mounting face.
