High carbon cast-iron rings are paired with aerospace-grade T6061-T6 aluminum hats and held together with National Aerospace Standards (NAS) bolts and crimp nuts, sharing all the benefits of the 4000 Series in a lighter two-piece package. The two-piece design lets the friction ring expand and contract independently of the hat, which reduces heat transfer into the hub and helps the rotor stay flat under repeated hard stops. DBA uses only high quality materials so the assembly holds up under strenuous use, on the street and at the track.
