What the T3 slot does
The uni-directional T-slot pattern adds exit points across the disc face so friction dust and gas clear out from under the pad. That keeps the pad surface clean and the bite predictable through repeated hard stops, where a plain face rotor tends to glaze and go long on the pedal.
