What the T3 slot does

The uni-directional T-slot pattern gives friction dust and gas extra exit points across the disc face. Clearing that debris keeps the pad surface fresh instead of glazed, so bite stays consistent and pedal feel holds up through repeated hard stops on a heavy vehicle. Because the pattern is uni-directional, the slots sweep in one direction with wheel rotation, which is part of how the 4000 Series keeps noise down compared with a coarser slot.
