Signs you need this part

  • Drum brakes squeal, rattle or grind after the shoes were last changed
  • Shoes that do not snap back when you release the pedal, leaving the brakes dragging or running hot
  • Brake pedal feels soft or travels further than it used to on a classic Mopar
  • Bent, rusted or stretched springs and clips found when the drums are pulled
  • A restoration or shoe replacement where all the small parts should be renewed together

Installation notes

Lay out the old hardware before removing it and photograph the assembly so the springs go back in the right positions. Replace every spring, pin and clip in the kit, not just the ones that look worn. Clean and lightly lubricate the shoe contact points on the backing plate with high-temperature brake lubricant, adjust the shoes to the drum, and bleed or inspect the wheel cylinders if the vehicle has been sitting. Test the pedal and the parking brake before you drive.

You are responsible for confirming fitment for your vehicle before ordering, so check the vehicle list above against your year, model, trim, engine and brake setup.
