Rear left (driver side) brake caliper with bracket for the 2015, 2016, and 2017 Ford F-150 equipped with the electronic parking brake system. This caliper does NOT include the EPB motor - you reuse the motor from your existing caliper by transferring it to this new caliper body. This is the standard replacement approach and how Ford supplies EPB caliper cores.

Specifications

  • Position: Rear left (driver side) - order matching right caliper for a full pair
  • Piston size: 2.12 inch (53.92 mm)
  • Piston material: Steel
  • Piston count: 1 (single-piston floating design)
  • Bracket: Included
  • EPB motor: NOT included - reuse from your existing caliper
  • OEM interchange: 18-B5501, FL3Z-2553-A

Fitment - Confirm EPB Type

  • Ford F-150 2015, 2016, 2017 with ELECTRONIC parking brake (button on center console, not a foot-pedal or pull-lever)

Critical: F-150 rear caliper design split by parking brake type starting 2015. If your F-150 has a pull-lever or foot-pedal parking brake, this is the WRONG part - order the manual-parking-brake caliper instead. The button-style EPB was standard on Lariat, Platinum, and King Ranch trims, optional on XLT. Full brake parts collection for the MPB caliper variant.

EPB Motor Transfer Procedure

  • The parking brake motor is a small electric actuator bolted to the back of the caliper body
  • Disconnect the electrical harness at the motor first (twist-lock connector on 2015-2017)
  • Remove the three mounting bolts that hold the motor to the old caliper
  • Retract the piston fully using a Ford IDS or an aftermarket EPB service tool - never turn or press the piston by hand on an EPB caliper
  • Bolt the motor to the new caliper, reconnect harness, torque motor bolts per service spec
  • Run a full EPB relearn cycle after install using a scan tool that supports Ford EPB service mode

Install Notes

  • Torque caliper bracket bolts to 100-125 ft-lb per Ford service spec
  • Silicone caliper grease on slider pins, not chassis grease
  • Bench-bleed the caliper before install if pistons feel dry
  • Never re-use the old brake hose if pedal feels spongy
  • Replace both rear rotors and pads in the same job for best pedal feel
  • EPB relearn cycle is required after install - do not drive until the scan tool confirms healthy EPB status
